IRS FIRE Connection Error

The IRS FIRE Production and Test System server no longer supports Secure Socket Layer (SSL) 3.0 as one of the FIRE System's Internet Security Technical Standards. Consequently, some users have experienced a problem connecting to the IRS FIRE System using Account Ability's Integrated Browser.


If you are having a problem connecting, try the following suggested solution:


Open the Internet Options applet from your system's Control Panel.
On the Advanced Page, scroll down and find Security
Uncheck both SSL 2.0 and SSL 3.0
Check TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1, TLS 1.2
Click Apply


Try connecting to IRS FIRE once again.
